Book #4 in the Parasol Protectorate series was a hoot!

A ghost delivers a "ghostly message" LOL, "Kill the Queen", and Alexia as Muhjah is off and running the investigation, despite the fact that she is at least 8 months pregnant. The Westminster Hive of vampires has also been trying to assassinate her before she gives birth to the abomination. Their latest attempt was mechanical porcupines.

Can't really say too much more as it is all spoilers.

I enjoyed this book, maybe not quite as much towards the end as the previous 3, but it was still pretty great to me. Alexia is one of my favorite characters and the fact that she is 8 months pregnant in this book made me love her even more. Mostly because I am 7 1/2 months along myself and I could relate with every 'ooof' and 'umph' she dealt with, especially when the baby would go on a kicking spree.
