Another powerful entry in the Midnight Breed series. This story was more action than romance but I think it worked for the couple. Niko is an adrenaline junkie who lives for battle. He loves creating new weapons to help the Order in their fight against evil. Renata is an unwilling bodyguard to a powerful Gen One vampire. She also has the psychic ability that renders vampires helpless. Together they are force to be reckoned with.

I waited ages to read this, mainly because I thought Renata was going to be horrible, but I was pleasantly surprised that I quite liked her. She and Mira had fantastic abilities, and Niko was another swoony Breed warrior. I enjoyed the side plot with Andreas - ready for the next book - and the new addition of Hunter. Not going to wait so long to read the next one.
