Been a very long time since I've read the first book from the series. This piqued my interest again to look for the series.
Last Call by Jim Butcher
This was a satisfying story, and I hope that Mr. Butcher continues with The Dresden Files soon.

I of course got this primarily for the same reason most people will buy it - the Patricia Briggs story!! Which was excellent, as I'd hoped, and threw additional light on matters in Alpha and Omega and the related series about Mercy Thompson.
Apart from that I also had a very positive overall impression of this, which is I think my first UF/PNR anthology. The P.N. Elrod story was very entertaining, and I enjoyed the one by Faith Hunter so much I expect I'll go looking for more works by her. Some ...more

There were only a few stories I like in this one - "Bacon", "Signatures of the Dead" and "Death Warmed Over". The rest were just sort of "eh" for me.
I think with the exception of Kelley Armstrong's Other World anthologies, I am finished with these for awhile - I just don't think they are quite "my thing". ...more
