Adrian! That ending! Holy cow!
It's been ages since I read the first Bloodlines book, so it took me a while to get back into the characters and remember what had happened, but once I had, I raced through this book and enjoyed it so much more than the first. Sydney is infuriating and stuffy, but she's thawing a lot, especially with the help of the dishy Adrian, who's long been one of my favourites in this world. Richelle Mead lays some beautiful groundwork in The Golden Lily that left me dying to read the next novel in her Bloodlines series. Big changes are coming for Sydney and we start to see her change and evolve in The Golden Lily.

I did like getting to know all the characters better. Though I really hope Sydney's fear of sugar is much more down played in the next book. I got really sick of reading about how she thought she was fat at a size 4. Yes, I understand why it was there, but I think its use was beaten to death with a stick.

I love the bloodlines. I always loved Adrian. I just get impatient really easily and it took two books before any hint of a romance happened. Yet still i'm so excited for the third one, i just wish something will actually happen Adrian and Sydney!
