I seem to be enjoying this series a bit more this time around.

So, this book was an improvement over bloodlines. Maybe because Sydney is becoming a bit more interesting as a heroine. Though Adrian...well, there seems to be a bit of a disconnect between the Adrian of the Vampire Academy books, and the Adrian of these books, but it's hard to put my finger on exactly what the problem is.
The rest of the characters seem a bit 2 dimensional...which makes it hard to really conne ...more

of Vampire Academy series will love Richelle Mead's new series "Bloodlines" as alot of the same characters feature in both series. The Bloodlines series is a spin-off which features Sydney Sage as the main character who as an Alchemist has been sent to protect Jill Dragomir - a Moroi princess. Ahh Richelle Mead. I can't thank you enough, truly. This was just so good. I loved how the characters have shaped and grown so much you can just picture it perfectly. The cars, oh my the bloody cars are beauties! Sydney is just such a fantastic character to follow, the way her mind works -it's fabulous. My onlyyyy issue with this one though is that it was just WAY too predictable. I wasn't even halfway through and I had put all the pieces together which was a shame but it was still a fantastic r
