Edit: As enjoyable the second time around. I still hate the Alchemist's zealotry but Sydney's distancing herself from it more and more and discovering that the world is not as black and white as she'd been taught. She is still stubborn and clinging to parts of her life-long conditioning, but at least she's improving, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of that in The Indigo Spell.

It really sucks that the next book won't be out till next ye

of Vampire Academy series will love Richelle Mead's new series "Bloodlines" as alot of the same characters feature in both series. The Bloodlines series is a spin-off which features Sydney Sage as the main character who as an Alchemist has been sent to protect Jill Dragomir - a Moroi princess. Overall, I really liked this book. But I honestly didn't know how Sydney could be that utterly oblivious to the fact that Adrian likes her. ...more

I am having lots of fun reading the bloodlines series. If I thought the end in the first book was crazy, this one is even more exciting. We get to learn about Alchemist, magic and the vampire hunters who Clarence is always talking about.
I'm looking foward to see where things are going to go with Sydnie and Adrian, since he proclaimed his love to her.
