It's going to be so hard to say goodbye to these characters when The Rose Circle comes out. I can't believe there's only one book left in the Vampire Academy/Bloodlines series! GAH I've grown to love these characters so much and I think each book just keeps getting better. This one was so emotional for a variety of reasons and yet so hopeful too. It's amazing how much each character has grown over the course of the series. Especially Adrian and Sydney.

Silver Shadows is the darkest book in the Bloodlines series to date. It’s also the best. Richelle Mead has deftly woven painful, deep scenes with breaths of warmth, light and hope.

Longtime fans of Mead’s work will know she tends to go for the gut punch and the tears on the emotional roller coaster. I’ve never been one to really complain about that. However, the balance of light and dark in this novel is, simply, better. Part of that comes fr ...more
