The story picks up right where it left off in the previous book, with Sydney being held captive by the Alchemists and Adrian desperate to find her.
We get to see how the Alchemists bring the ones who have 'lost their way' back into the 'light', for their own good of course.

This was easily the best book in this series to date. I cannot wait for The Ruby Heart!
