Despair for the seemingly unending chasm of time until the next book in the series is released; pity for the next book I was to read after this one, as I was most certainly going to punish it for not being this book. :o)

I liked this but I forgot why I did.
Kiyo was an ass. There's something up with him and I was glad to see him go towards the end. He's going to be back, but for now he's out of the picture. Good! Happy Be Gone Kiyo!
Something's up with Dorian because he clearly seems only out for himself. Whatever. I like him better than Kiyo so he could kill someone and I could care less. Oh wait, he did kill someone. Meh. I would have done the same thing.

I read the audio version of this book. I have to say that I am loving this series! I love the way the heroine is growing over time. The narrator seems to have hit her stride here too, or maybe I just got used to her. I loved it so much that I bought the second one before I even finished this one!
