The Flooze
Georgina Kincaid might be the most emotionally draining character I’ve ever encountered. In Succubus Shadows she’s perpetually depressed--consumed with mourning her lost relationship. Not a page goes by without her lamenting the could’ve beens.

It’s all too much. All right already, Georgina. You’re sad. You’re aching. You’re oh so torn over your special wuv and forevah connection.

You’re also dim-witted and a glutton for punishment so I have to admit, I’m having a very hard time feeling sorry fo

I'm finding it difficult to write a review about this one without filling it with spoilers. Short of just rehashing the book's description, I'll say that as with the rest of this series, I loved it. We get to learn a great deal more of Georgina's past and see some of the events that have helped shape her into the succubus we know and love.

There are some very important advancements in the story line and all of the key players were there. It definitely set the next book up well and I think if not

"It will be as if I never existed." Edward Cullen's words popped into in my head as I read this book. Good Edward didn't stick with it, because as a plan for saving each other from pain, it doesn't seem to work in the long run. Not if Georgina's life is any example.

I don't know if I just haven't read the right books, but the idea Mead has in this book for the Oneroi has to be one of the most amazing and creative techniques I have seen. So clever, I just LOVED it! The way so many things were rev

***SPOILERS AHEAD***

Honestly, this book was going to get 4 stars from me up until the very end--although I put off reading it for awhile, completely sick of Georgina's woe-is-me schtick and her annoying infatuation with schlubby Seth. But, and maybe it was because I wasn't expecting anything from it, it was a fast, entertaining read, and I was fully prepared to give it 4 stars. Until the end. Ugh.

Circles...circles...circles...no shit. You're just figuring this crap out, 1700 years later? So...l

I still love the characters, all of them even Seth, (especially Carter, I keep thinking just maybe she could end up with him!), but the story itself could only be described as 'meh'. What did get me was the cliffhanger at the end, cannot wait to see how it turns out. So basically I would recommend that you go to a bookshop and read the last two chapters there, don't bother buying it, not worth it. ...more
