Well, I made the mistake of reading a few reviews before I started typing my own, and now I feel like a Carpathian lifemate..."I loved it, I loved it not, I loved it, but not if it tells me what to do and I'm starving and pregnant." :)

Meh, 2.5 or 3 stars. The dark, disturbed, dominating, violent male only worries or irritates me and the strong, independent, brilliant female melting into a trusting, dependent, emotional, lusting mess just makes me absolutely crazy. And I don't like women allowing men to injure them, and though Jacques is unstable, it is still not okay to stay with a man who has attacked you. So if that's your thing, then you'll love it, but I am just not a fan.

* Shea O'Halloran being a successful surgeon Meh, 2.5 or 3 stars. Better than the first. Still weak. And I hate writers who create weak and simpering females. There was certainly more of a plot and more action to this one than there was in number one. At my friend's insistence, I'll give the series one more try. ...more
