This book started out promising, dragged through the middle, then picked up again towards the end (and without a cliffhanger, which was a nice change).
Cal is a half-human/half-elf, but not the pretty, good kind of elf. These elves are vicious and bloody, and will happily give kids nightmares. At 13, Cal was kidnapped and brought into the elf realm. This had a very interesting twist with the possession. I don't think I have ever read a book told in the first person where the character morphs into something else. I am interest to see how this series plays out.
