4 1/2*s Parisa was a little whiny at times, but otherwise I liked how powerful she was. Likewise, Medichi was a little whiny at times (what is it with the "I'll never love again because my wife died" repeat?), but mostly he was yummy. I enjoy the introduction of the next book's characters in each book, and in this book we even get a hint of the book after next! Should be a good one!

This was the first book I have read by author Caris Roane and it will not be my last! It had all of the elements I enjoy while reading a book; a fantasy environment of powerful and gifted characters, romance up the wazo, sizzling sex scenes, an alpha male hero with a tender side and a strong female lead. Caris Roane manages to blend all these elements together in Wings of Fire and that made it a winner for me.
