I've just finished Bitterblue and it has left an indelible imprint on my heart. I cried with Bitterblue, my heart broke for her when she lost her advisors, when she discovered exactly what her father had done, and how many people he had damaged with his crazed ideas. When Sapphire left, I wanted him to man up and stay with Bitterblue. I wanted to hug Po and Giddon for being there for her and I wanted to hug a family member when she discovered her sister. The book does not feel complete to me. I expected the end of the series to be finished, not put on a pause.
