As entertaining and original as the first book, this is the story of Lizzie, Leon's oldest daughter, and Ril, Leon's wounded battler.
Lizzie gets kidnapped and sent off to a country where the rules are very different, both for humans and sylphs. The sylphs are treated abominably and so are most humans, enslaved and impoverished.

4.75/5 It would have got all 5 stars if it would have had just a little more of the romance on the pages.
It is a second look at this book actually after reading the 3.5 freebie. I totally love the concept of this series. Normally in stories people having power of elemental forces do have magic gifts of some kind. In this universe sylphs are lured and enslaved to the commands of their 'normal' human masters. This installment explore all the limitations and frustration of the enslaved sylphs where Leon and Ril mount a rescue mission. The structure of the society infiltrated by Leon was well defined

This book had a fascinating premise and it makes me want to read more in this series.
