What Members Thought

The second season of the HBO series, A Game of Thrones, is based on A Clash of Kings. I watched the series when it was on last year and loved it just as much as the first season. If you’ve read my review on the first book in the series, then you know that I was pretty amazed at how closely the tv show followed the book. Because of this, I almost skipped the second book (since I’d already seen season two on tv) but just couldn’t bring myself to actually skip a book in a series.

A fit sequel to the first book, heavy and dark and painfully realistic. Compelling and a bit annoying since the point of view changes once things get interesting, but also very clever, giving us information as our heroes get it, some times accurate and others misleading.
Our heroes' adventures continue from where we left them with a few additions to balance the ones whose stories already ended.
Looking forward to seeing what happens next to most of the various characters, hoping for a lucky break ...more
