This took me forever to finish. I had a hard time following the story at first because I couldn’t really grasp the rules of the magic system or the factions in play. I’m still not sure now that I’m done. The action was exciting but the romance didn’t really work for me. The pace was way too slow for my taste and unfortunately I couldn’t really connect with any of the characters.
