Doubleblind is the 3rd book in the Sirantha Jax series and my favorite so far. At this point, we're familiar with all the people in Sirantha's life, cheering her and March on and sympathize with her new position as Ambassador.
I don't want to give anything away, so I'll keep this short. I was fascinated by Vel's world. Trouble seems to follow Jax, no matter how hard she tries. This is no exception.

Jax just cannot take a trick. Promoted to "Ambassador" and sent to Vel's homeworld to broker a treaty with the xenophobic "bugs" just after finding out her mother is the head of the Syndicate (ie Mafia).
So, she's biting her tongue, hoping not to stuff up and start a war, whilst trying to cope with Marsh's coldness. He's suffering PTSD after fighting a genocidal war on Lachion. But at least he's turned up just like he promised.

In this book we hear more about Jax's past. I liked the customs on Vel's home planet. The idea that a person can say something so complicated with just a bow appeals to me. I liked how Jax put on a new role to succeed in the mission.
