After feeling more than frustrated with the way things ended in Halfway to the Grave, the 1st book in this series, I was more than anxious to read this 2nd installment. Well, it didn't start very well and my frustration only grew with each chapter I read until I was ready to scream. I know all about the need some readers have to tease the readers and build tension and anticipation, but it was too much. Come on, nine whole chapters following Cat, her team and her "new" friend Denise around withou

The thing is I'm stuck visualising Spike everytime Bones says anything - especially "luv" - not necessarily a bad thing but a bit distracting.
I enjoyed this, though I didn't feel Cat was as strong as in the first - her attitude was more bitch than brass. Still it was an easy fast paced read, some solid new characters - especially the team.

Oh my Bones you naughty thing…
Its official, i have a new fictional character crush...
Ok yes he may be tied to Cat. Ok yes Cat has her issues in this book, such as having someone try to assassinate her. I won't give away anything as this book was meant to be enjoyed.
And I know once I start talking about one thing, it will probably get me on to another point and those points I may as well be tell you the whole book

I might have enjoyed this more if the narrator's voice for Bones didn't make him sound like an old lady...
