Entwined took a few chapters for me to get fully immersed in the world. Maybe it was my lack of empathy for Zander at first, or maybe I just wasn’t in the mood for his self-destructive behavior. I don’t know, but I’m glad I stuck with it.
This book focuses on Zander the Argonaut and Callia the king’s healer. Zander is impulsive, angry, and his “woe is me” attitude reminded me of another character in a series about a band of brothers. Zander is immortal and he challenges his immortality regularly. ...more
