Oh where to begin. Well lets start with the good. The storyline “plot” was good. I liked the whole Argonaut twist , that’s creative and original. I am a huge Greek mythology fan so I am willing to give anything that includes the Gods a shot. I thought the Gods who appeared were well written and witty.(I wont name them So you can read it for yourself. ) The characters Nick & Isadora were very well done. Cant wait to see more of them.

Now for the “ not so good” . I had a very difficult time with the start of this book. It was choppy and hard to figure out who was who, and what exactly was happening. The world itself is very intriguing once you figure out what’s happening and how things work, but it did take awhile to understand. My other BIG issue with this story started at the very beginning. Hot guy walks into a bar. Small town Oregon girl takes one look at him and thinks “ OMG !!Greek God” …....huh???? No! that’s not a term a small town girl would think when she first sees a hot guy. Not in this time period anyway. Then the girl goes on to refer to him as “ the Greek God” 8 times in the first chapter alone. This is even more cheesy since he is in fact a descendant of a Greek God. This was very off putting. In fact the whole love story was off to me. I just didn’t buy these two as a couple until close to the end of the book. Alone I liked her, and he was ok, not great but he was ok. He improved as the book went on. However as a couple they just didn’t click for me. It seemed to forced, and too much like the Author was shoving them as a couple down my throat. The other big problem with this story was way way too much downtime “filler” I call it. Where he goes on and on in his mind about sex and his feelings for her , and she goes on and on in her mind about sex and her feelings for him. That said ,when they FINALLY got to the actual sex it was hot and very well written. I am just not a fan of the “tease”.
So all in all this book is ok. I will read the second book in hopes for improvement and because I did like the secondary characters and the world in general was interesting once I figured out what was going on.
Fans of the paranormal Cheesy romances will really like this one. However fans of the Darker more Adult series are going to be a little disappointed. ...more

The book got off to a very bad start, so much so that I almost gave up on it. If you can slog through the beginning, the story behind it all is pretty interesting. But it is tough to get through the beginning with an unrealistic and TSTL heroine and a hero (view spoiler)

The story of heroes, Atalanta and Hades was pretty interesting and I might give this series one more book to find out more, plus I really did like Nick. ...more
