This book is different than the first two in terms of action and pacing. Where the first two books are sensory overload in a fun way, this book takes on a slower pace, concentrating more on character development and relationship building. I might say there's more substance in that what occurs here will play a big part in Kitty's future relationship with both Ben and Cormac, and you learn a lot more about Ben and Cormac's histories, getting to know everyone a little better.
