I'm liking Kitty a lot more as the series goes on. I never disliked her but as the series goes on I can see her growth and I am starting to feel like she's a friend.
I love her little pack, Ben and Cormac. We learn more about both of them in this one. I'm not 100% sold on the romance but it's believable because I don't think they're totally convinced either. It makes the relationships in UF feel more real than the insta-love we usually get in PNR.
I thought the skinwalker aspect was interesting ...more

I feel like I got trolled with the direction this series takes, starting with this book. That's right trolled...
It's not that I don't like Ben, I do. It's just that I would have thought what happened to him would be what would have happened to his cousin Cormac, the bounty hunter. Then I also realize that most likely the series wouldn't have lasted nearly as long as it has.
Though this is the story as Vaughn sees it, so there's not much to do about it. I've kept up with the series to book 10 ...more

Okies, well, this one is getting better and now I'm really looking forward to the whole series. I'm excited about the changes that have happened to Kitty and her expansion of her pack. I'm heartbroken for another guy though, don't want to give too much away. Really can't wait to start the next one.
