So I won a copy of this E-ARC, a completely new experience for me.
Ascension didn't seem to fall in to the same trap a lot of 1st books do, in the sense of the information overload in the first couple of chapters to acquaint you with the world. You got the info you needed to understand what was going on in a pace that suited the story.

The gates of hell have been opened, unleashing evil on humanity and the Gods of Olympus are powerless to stop them. This felt like a paranormal romance that wanted to be urban fantasy.
