This was great. While it was a book that was mostly setting up the end arc (Banet says there are only 4 books left in the series), there were a lot of things in this book that I have been desperately wanting to happen. I'm thrilled with how things played out, and even more thrilled with how it looks like things are going to play from here.

I also like that it looks like we're not going to have Jacky going on missions without Heath anymore. Yayayayay!

“Things that haunt a person will always haunt you. You have to have the power to face them because only then can you overcome them.”

Jacky's suffering under the guilt of her past actions, even when they helped those she loves. In this installment, which is a bit different from those previous, she's forced to face the guilt-laden actions she taken as well as the hurtful actions done to her and try to finally move past them.

As always, I thoroughly enjoyed returning to Jacky's story. I
