I stalled on this series, because I was reluctant to read Luke's book (book 4). Finally, I did something I've never done before - literally, never - and deliberately skipped a book in the series. I feel weirdly guilty about it, but frankly, I would never have read that book. Between the age gap and the grooming, there are too many things that I personally find loathsome, and so while I love this author, I couldn't do it.

Bailey Bryant & Deke Hammond

Bailey stole the show from the moment she was introduced, so I have been waiting for her story since then.

She this mix of quirky and badass that I liked from the beginning and the ways she was able to push Deke's buttons let me know that he was going to be her man.

You could tell that they both wanted each other, but I just couldn't figure out why Deke wasn't acting on the attraction. I knew she thought he didn't like her, so she wouldn't act, but I was like, "Dude, ...more

Bailey a black mambo snake shifter, enforcer of the Olympus Pride, and all around crazy, shit-stirring girl and Deke, pallas cat, enforcer of the Olympus Pride, gruff, logical, target of Bailey madness, are our MCs.

Deke is suffering with touch-hunger and Bailey decides to help him out.

Like all of SW's books, there is the feisty heroine, over protective hero, great friend characters, villain after one or both of them, lots of action, more than one villain to make it more interesting.
