Bad me, I didn't write a review after my original read. But I'm rereading now (Jan 2021) because I just finished Leila's series and wanted to revisit this one to spend a little more time in this world.
I think I didn't review the first time because I was tentative. To be honest, there were things in the first 50% that made me crazy, and I thought Hazel occasionally strayed into TSTL because she'd totally miss the obvious. It’s fairly good. The writing is not the best and the heroine is a bit immature. She’s got that Mary Sue thing going where people like her for just being herself. I’m actually fond of that trope but I’m not sure this is the best execution of it ever. The romance is getting interesting so I’m looking forward to the next book!
