I very nearly needed to pause this on my way to work one day as I was very near sobbing and I'm not sure how I would have explained showing up like that. I managed to keep it together but Simon's journey was the essence of the old saying that the villain is the hero of his own story. Not that his actions are excused but they are explained and as for his redemption, well, the sobbing. All the reviews talked about how emotional this one was and they weren't lying.
