The third book in the Honey Badger chronicles is Max's story. Max is kidnapped by a group of mercenaries, including ZeZe Vargas. Max is amused when she realizes that Ze does not know what he is and makes it her business to rectify the situation.
I should have seen it coming. Max's absolute hatred for the feral cat that hangs out at her home should have been a foreshadowing. Of course she would end up with a werejaguar. Poor Z ...more

I always enjoy Laurenston's Shifter novels. That said, I do think that the Honey Badger books are quite chaotic just like the life of all of the MacKilligan sisters.
This book is about the third and final(?) sister Max, of the raised in a wolf pack, rejected by all relatives, sisters MacKilligan.
The book opens with yet another angry relative trying to kill Max in The Netherlands. Max is also aware of a plot to kidnap her to try and use her against her mother who may or may not have stolen a ton ...more

It is finally time for Max's story. It starts with her being kidnapped and rescuing one of the kidnappers who doesn't realize he is a shifter.
What I enjoyed:
* I love the MacKilligan sisters. These books are really more about them and their bonds then the romance.
* Max is still crazy but we learn that she plans a bit more than we realized.
* Ze was cute. I loved how confused he was when Max kept calling him kitty and as he learned about the shifter life.
* We meet Max's mother
