This book is a solid 4 stars.
Evie is in all appearances a human girl. Only thing is she can see past all the glamours of the paranormal. Vampires are not attractive underneath but are rotted. Werewolves really have yellow eyes. After spending most of her life hunting down the paranormal and putting them under surveillance with the IPCA (International Paranormal Containment Agency), she has never quite felt anything but alone and wants nothing but a normal life. I had high expectations for this book but it wasn't bad but it wasn't fantastic either. I don't see the chemistry between Evie and Lend. I think she likes him because he's different like her and that makes it exciting. I found myself looking forward to the scenes when Reth would show up. He was so dangerous and sexy.
