it was a toss between 1 star or 2 stars... but i just found that i plain didn't like this novel...
i'm not really going to get into any details but the story was just waaaaay to slow for my liking and the only character i liked... at all... was Iriel or Irial... how sad is that? he wasn't even a main character in this...

*obvious spoiler, but nonetheless a spoiler alert*
and whats-his ...more

Different but good....
My only caution would be, try not to have any expectations when reading this book. Yes, it's different from others in the series. And it centers around a different character. But take the book for what it is, "Ani's story"... try not to look at it as just another step in "Ash & Keenen's or Seth's" story, and I think readers will really enjoy it.
At last I have to say, I am very impressed by the way the author is weaving her story as well as with the dynamics of Faerie courts ...more
