What Members Thought
First of all, I think the whole literal inner demon curse is super cool. A warrior who must temper his impulses or turn into a snarly bloodthirsty lizard beast? Swoon. Okay, maybe not swoon, but I am madly in love with the concept. I will say that I was disturbed at Mary's reaction to the beast and felt that the two scenes where she interacts with it didn't quite work for me. This second installment of the BDB series was an emotional roller-coaster from page one. I thoroughly enjoyed getting know Rhage and more about the Brothers.
I feel more intimate with many of the characters and the challenges they face. As the author describes just a little more about each one, and their customs and etiquette, my curiosity rises.
I am looking forward to the next with mixed emotions.

Hmm I’m left with a lot of questions after this one. Once again I’m annoyed by Mr. X. but only because he is the bad guy, and I feel the story of the lessers isn't that important. I don't want to know about them. But then the stories mesh and you have the light bulb moment. I cringed with what the lessers were creating. And I could see that it wasn't going to end well for one of the brotherhood.
All in all a good book. It kind of makes me want to read the next one. I’m curious about Bella’s fate ...more

Upon re-read, rating stays the same. I still have issues with the dialogue in general and the back-and-forth in this one was a little much. I mean, I'm ok with miscommunication, but not on such a basic level for most of the story.
