Ok, I have something to confess.
I rejected this book for a long time bc I thought it would be just sex and violence and no real story. I WAS WRONG. I have no problem admitting when I am wrong and boy was I wrong. This book was full of story, a friggin great story with lots of little stories mixed in about great characters (scary characters, but great). Yes there was sex and violence, but it was smoking hot sex that was full of such heat and intensity it made your panties practically melt off. I Ok, I have something to confess.

Yes there was sex and violence, but it was smoking hot sex that was full of such heat and intensity it made your panties practically melt off. It was raw, it was pure, it was animalistic at times and it was also slow and loving. It was the perfect mixture to keep me reading, the sex was never cheap or smutty or disgusting. It was HOT. The violence was easy to skim through, I'm not big on reading violence, I skim it. What suprised me was the passion, the romance and the love Wrath and Beth felt and the love the brotherhood had for each other.
Now, although I loved the writing and obviously ended up loving the book, I had a hard time giving my complete attention to it in the beginning. I liked it, the first sex scene had me practically panting (I read it several times, you know, just to make sure I didn't miss anything...ahem). But I just wasn't as into the story or characters yet. Then after I hit somewhere around pg 200 ... WHAM! - the story literally blew up and I was sucked in and completely helpless to stop reading. I fell in love with Beth, I fell in love with Wrath, I fell in love with the brothers and by the end even Z. Every character found a way into my heart and I yearned for more. I couldn't stop reading, I couldn't put it down. I walked around the house trying to do housework with the book in my face. After nearly dropping 2 new rolls of TP into the potty (thank GOD they bounced off the edge instead of into it, what a mess) I stopped the ridiculous attempts and just sat down and read until I finished. I laughed, I sighed romantically, I hated the damn lessers, I went through emotion after emotion and in the end I was smiling. I loved it.
I am no longer a BDB virgin, I have seen the light and it is wonderful. Join me, you wont be disappointed... :)

I really enjoyed this book and will definitely continue with the series, but there are a few things about the vampires in this book that I am not keen on. I like the classic myths when it comes to vampires and this is completely different. Still a good book though.
