Book 4 in the Peter Grant urban fantasy series set in London and surrounds. This book is surprisingly slow paced right up until about 80% when the shit hits the fan in a big way. A great entry to this series, I immediately cracked open the next one.
A lot of things happen in this book, and a lot of the overreaching plot is developed, but as per usual what shines in this book it's the utter "Londonness" of it. The council flats, the multiculturism, the old history baked into the bricks, the snark, and most of all that lived in deep feeling of hope that something better will come but that a lot of shit will have to happen between here are there.

No! That ending! The long story of the faceless man continues and just gets twistier. As always, it's fabulously well-written with great one-liners and fun pop culture references. That huge twist means I can't wait for the next book.
