The beginning was a little slow for me to get into but i got into it. I loved this one way better than the first one. I loved Kate and Curran even more in this book. We have just way more interaction with Kate and Curran in MAGIC BURNS and you see Curran more as a love interest for Kate in MAGIC BURNS. It's been a long time since I read Magic Bites. Not sure what took me so long to pick up Magic BurnsMagic Bites. This one is better, it was easier for me to pay attention. Less world-building (which for me can be a bit boring). My only issue- the ending/wrap-up seemed rushed, especially with the outcome of the missing coven and Julie's mother.
