I'm coming late to the Skinwalker party, seems like most of my friends have already read this series.

Overall I enjoyed Jane Yellowrock. I found I liked that she had to figure out who the bad guy was, whilst sidestepping all the vamp politics, and keeping her own nature a secret. Don't get me wrong, she kicked major ass in a martial arts, have lots of knives kinda way.

I did like the Jane vs Beast parts, though as others have said, sometimes it was a bit hard to understand which of them was speak ...more

Shelves: urban-fantasy, not-continuing-with-series

I waffled between 3 and 4 stars, finally settling on 3.5 (and therefore rounding up to 4). It took me a bit of time to get used to the writing style, especially when "Beast" was in charge. I'm not as enamored of Jane Yellowrock as I am with other characters in different UF series. Overall though, fairly compelling characters and an interesting storyline got me hooked enough to finish.
