Rated a 3.5. I liked the overall story but it took me a bit to get into the building of the background of the book. The plot was well thought out and the most of ending was definitely something you didn't see coming. ...more

I really didn't think I would like this, but I was pleasantly surprised. Jane Yellowrock is snarky, kick-ass, and even when she's shifted into her mountain lion form she has a sense of humour. I loved hearing the Beast's POV, especially when referring to small poodles as snacks. The internal battle Jane and Beast wage over who is Alpha is interesting, too.

The mystery at the heart of the story was well done and not easily guessed early, and I enjoyed the secondary characters, especially "Bruiser" ...more
