What is it with annoying heroines? I seem to be reading nothing but books with heroines who are throw-the-book-across-the-room irritating! The minute I met Meghan Chase, I was irritated by her. But I was willing to give her a chance. I know with a lot of YA books, the characters do develop and grow as the books goes on, but Miss Chase just seemed to remain a pain in the butt. I was really looking forward to this book as I've been on a sic-fi/fantasy faerie kick lately. But, I was disappointed. I felt like too much of the story line was predictable and the author created a sort of mish-mash of mystical beings. Younger readers (ages 13-18) may enjoy the book more though.
