Even though I’ve rated this installment 3 stars, I feel I should have given it 2! There are two main reasons for that:

Firstly, Adam keeping Mercy at an arm’s length and behaving like an ass is getting old — Curran, anyone? Their connection and the absence of toxic masculinity are the two things that make this couple shine for me. And this series is quickly losing that!

Secondly, the bad guy was built to be so dangerous and villainous throughout the book. Then, at the end, he turns out to be not-s ...more

I'm so excited that I got to read this early thanks to winning a GOODREADS GIVEAWAY.

I don't usually write reviews, but for all of you who are eagerly awaiting the release of this, I will try to jot down a few words.

This book reminded me a bit of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, in that, it was ostensibly about a group of people fighting monsters, while simultaneously being about struggling with relationship problems and group dynamics.
