Morganville has been left vulnerable ever since the vampire computer Ada went nuts and died. Claire has been tasked with building and programming a new computer to protect the town, preferably one that doesn't require an actual brain. But as soon as Claire gets the new computer online people start to forget. Vampires don't know they are vampires, humans don't know where they are and soon more and more people are lost. I'm not sure how this series managed to stay off my radar for so long. But strangely, I'm not disappointed. There is nothing I love better than discovering an awesome series that already consists of many books, because I can read them all...boom boom boom. (I also like to watch my TV like that! I like to immerse myself in a world and stay there!).

Probably one of my favorite vampires in any book is Myrnin. Even saying that I think something is wrong with it. His crazy (literally), eccentric genius just makes any story that he is a part of. I also love the interactions between him and Claire, the way she trusts him even when she shouldn't.
The power struggles between Amelie and Oliver were kinda Blah for me. They really didn't add anything to the book or change much in town. I do lik ...more
