Thoughts Before Reading:
The fact that this takes place in Austin, TX and the addictive sample on Kindle that gave an awesome glimpse of the author's writing and of the unusual storyline definitely have me intrigued.

I liked this book more than I expected to, after the first couple chapters (an event occurs which is something that is generally off-putting in books, to me, as I don't feel that it is generally handled very well in fiction).
