I really enjoyed this book. I love Allie, though her unthinking anger sometimes annoys me, it just makes her seem like a real person. I wish there could have been more Zayvion, but he was there when it counted and it was great to see more of Shame - I hope he's featured more in the coming books. Allie has really grown since the series started and is becoming a person to be respected in the magic community. Can't wait for number 6! ...more

As another review I saw mentioned this did suffer a little from lack of Zayvion. But still I enjoyed Allie with Shame & Terric and I like that we're getting answers about her memory issues. I literally "ooohed" when I got to that part. I like that this is a series were there is an overall arc that follows from book to book, with a bigger plot and also that each book gets wrapped up without a cliffhanger. ...more
