I've been a fan of Charlaine Harris for many years and I've always looked forward to reading her books. Like every year I was jumping up and down with excitement to read her next installment of Sookie Stackhouse.

After two days, I finished the book and I felt very unsatisfied. Not the "OMG... I can't wait until the next book" unsatisfied but the "Hmmm.. maybe it's time to end the series" unsatisfied. I felt bored while reading and that never happened before. Why? I have no idea. It had all the m

I love the sookie stackhouse series but I have to say it seems as though Charlaine Harris is running out of ideas for the series. It seems as though the story lines are getting a bit far fetched, and the number of recurring minor characters from previous books makes things confusing and hard to follow. Story was ok; didn't seem to take the series any further as nothing 'big' happened. There was no one big plot or turning event to take place. Eric and Sookie were together, but I missed much of the conversation between them, it seemed to be missing from this book. ...more

I love the Sookie series, but was disheartened by the ending in this book.
The story, while good, just was not as exciting as previous books, but it was very enjoyable to get to find out more about the history of Eric and Bill and get to know more about Claude.
