Dead in the Family felt like a race to tie up story lines as fast as possible with as many random outside forces thrown in as possible. The final result bounced hither and yon without developing much more tension than "almost to the end, something has to happen". Rats.

I was so excited to read this book, a whole year!! And now I feel a bit disappointed. However, I did like the book, it just didn't measure up to previous books. There's usually a lot of action, a lot of different storylines but also one main big problem that needs to be solved, which in my opinion should've been the weres registration issue, and that never got fixed. I did like seeing a completely different side of Eric in this book, and seeing how much he cares for Sookie in his way. It did fee

I love the Sookie series,but was disheartened by the ending in this book.
The story, while good,just was not as exciting as previous books,but it was very enjoyable to get to find out more about the history of Eric and Bill and get to know more about Claude.
