As much as I wanted to REALLY like this book, I just couldn't. It is an enjoyable book, don't get me wrong, but after the action and fast paced last couple of novels, this book just didn't live up to my expectations. In Dead in the Family, Sookie is recovering from her brutal attack that happened during the war with the fairies. She and Eric are settling into a normal relationship pattern, and she's come to terms with her feelings for him, admitting that she loves him and wants

I have to agree with a lot of the reviews that I've seen so far. This book was very flat, it coasted along, Sookie and Eric like and old married couple. It was almost a if Charlaine Harris ran out of things to write about. The book coasted along and then all of a sudden bang all the action happened at the end of the book? I was left with a lot of questions that I thought should have been answered earlier in the book. Not happy that I paid $17 dollars for the hard back!! ...more

It was an okay book I didn;t quite enjoy it as I enjoyed the other books some how it seemed the book lacked personality. To me it seemed that Sookie was just tired and depressed I hope the next book is the final book because I think the reason the book lacked character is because the series has been dragged on to much. I liked the ending though how now Sookie has a man who loves her and, has a uncle and cousins who love her also. Also Bill's appearance was kinda weird it felt like the author did ...more

Not the best in this series, and not the worst. This book starts off slowly. Things start happening towards the last 1/3 of the book, everything happens quickly. Interesting end.
