I've been a fan of Charlaine Harris for many years and I've always looked forward to reading her books. Like every year I was jumping up and down with excitement to read her next installment of Sookie Stackhouse.

Another enjoyable book about Sookie Stackhouse. I was told that most people did not seem to enjoy this book. I don't understand that since I enjoyed it very much. Granted there was not as much activity as usual. But lots of storytelling being done. ...more

Generally I do like this series, but this book seemed a bit off to me. The characters did not feel same, e.g. Eric was a pansy. I was really looking forward to this book but there was no connection between sookie and eric. I also found the plot to be very weak, at times I wasn't sure what had actually happened. Overall this was a big let down for me, the characters and setting are all there to use, how could the author have gotten this book so wrong? ...more

A little slow to start, and felt like a gap between this and the book before, but the last half is great and gives you more insight into her Fae side. It makes you look at Claude differently. The twist with Alexei was great, and Sookie's budding friendship with Pam is great. ...more
