3.75 stars to 4.0 sars. I did not expect to like this book. I have read all of Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood books and the first in this series -- Covet. I enjoy Ward's BDB books, but I did not enjoy Covet. I feel like I need to say what I didn't like about Covet -- I thought the story, the struggle, the characters and the world created in Covet were very interesting, but I felt the story telling fell flat. I don't know why but reading Ward's books keeps getting harder and harder... Lover Unleashed was awful... the whole series has been since the 5th or 6th book and now this new series...
I like Alpha males, I do, but not when they talk and act like they need to prove they're all powerful and strong and tough, that just does the exact opposite.

I could actually give it a 3 1/2...I ended up liking it once the story really got going for me, but it took me about 200 pages to get into it. It could have been that I was distracted by other things while reading, but I think there was so much going on and a lot of jumping from character to character in the different chapters that at first, I felt like the hero and herione were lost, but once found again, it was hot, sweet and challanging, everything I like in a good love story.
It’s the WARDen...what else needs to be said???
