My Thoughts: This book picks up almost right where book two ended. Alexia has left the Woolsey pack and is staying with her family. Once the story of why she has left her husband's house comes out they make her leave and the real adventure begins.
All my favorites are in this book. I already wanted to know more about Floote and this just increased that want. He was pulling tricks out his hat left and right as they were travelling to Italy. ...more

Oh what a jewel I have found. I don't remember enjoying myself, as much as I sinfully have, in quite some time. Finding out you're pregnant is taxing enough as it is, but for your husband to deny parentage well that is distressing. Soulless Alexia Maccon journeys to Italy to find out the mysteries of her infant inconvenience, and what threat it might pose to the supernatural community.

The next in Ms Carriger's intriguing series was an easy read. Funny as witty as always.. Story seems to be moving forward in a slightly slow fashion.. Felt Conall was forgiven a bit too easily.. The adventures were great..The humour is still killing me! Moving on to heartless now.
