This book was a little slow to get into for me. Honestly, I didn't think I'd make it half way. It wasn't what I was expecting...at first. The only thing that kept me going was Kenyon's characterization. Especially of Julian. He was instantly intriguing and I wanted to know exactly what had happened that he had been cursed into the book. I would have given this 5 stars but I couldn't STAND hearing about how much the heroine loved the hero's smell! Over and over...ugh, it just grated on me! Otherwise, I loved the book! The premise is pretty fun and I loved how SK used mythology in such a fun way. I'm a total SK addict now!

Really liked the first half, but after a while the premise just got tedious. It's disappointing that the ending comes down to a random dea and deus ex machina. Grace was the worst fictional therapist I have ever read about; she doesn't care about her clients, constantly tunes them out when in session and to be honest she should get her diploma revoked. I didn't expect the mythology tie. Julian is the son of Aphrodite, and was a general in Athena's army before he was cursed by his brother to spend eternity in a book. I thought it was a cute story. Very good quick read.
