I enjoyed this book even more than the first book in the series but I think that is mostly because I was able to build a connection to the Grace & Sam in the first book – as well as some of the other folks, and that connection carried over to book 2. In trying to keep my review short & sweet – to the point – and not give too much away about the story, here are my top 3 reflections from reading Linger:

Oh, God. So, yeah, I admit, I cried at the end of this one, too, just like I did at the end of the first book, Shiver. Although it wasn't a surprise - what was happening to Grace was flagged right from the prologue - the revelation at the end and the implications on not just Grace but Sam and Olivia and the rest of Sam's "family" were just heartbreaking.
